Jamalia Brashears

Jamalia Brashears has more than 15 years of experience working in philanthropy and leading development offices for health care systems. Most recently, Jamalia led development offices for major hospital systems in New York City, including NewYork-Presbyterian. Her areas of expertise include resource development (especially securing multiyear grants from federal, state, corporate, and family foundations), health care disparities, impact investing, social determinants of health, and health policy.

Jamalia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College. While at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Jamalia served as a National Urban Fellow. As part of the fellowship, she received an MPA at Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Bernard Baruch College.
