Alison Plott, MFA

Alison believes in the power of data to tell a story. She is committed to creating a healthy nonprofit ecosystem by providing the research organizations need to continue the invaluable work of strengthening our communities.

Prior to joining LAPA, Alison has spent the better part of a decade working in research and prospect management across several sectors including education, community programming, human services, and the arts: most recently with The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was a member of the 2021 EMILY’s List Ignite Change Fellowship and the 2017 Development Leadership Consortium Cohort. 

In her free time, she enjoys reading, strolling along the Chicago lakefront, and finding new recipes to satisfy her sweet tooth. Born and raised in California, Alison holds a BA in Theatre from the University of California, Riverside and an MFA in Acting from the University of California, Irvine.
