Evan Northup, CFRE, MSc
Evan Northup, CFRE, MSc has a decade of experience in fundraising, starting her nonprofit career in political fundraising on Capitol Hill while attending American University. She then moved back to her hometown of Miami, Florida, to work in development at Florida International University as a Major Gifts Officer. After Miami, Evan spent 2 years in Individual Giving at Tampa’s Straz Center for the Performing Arts, which also houses the Patel Conservatory and Next Generation Ballet. The last 3 years, she served at the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Foundation for Philanthropy, supporting fundraisers and the nonprofit sector at the national level.
Evan brings broad experience in a variety of fields, including politics, business management, and development. In the last 5 years she has bolstered her career in fundraising, specializing in strategic planning and cultural affairs. Her focus is on forging and managing relationships with key constituencies while helping nonprofits increase their fundraising. streamline their efficiency, and promote an organizational culture of philanthropy.
Evan lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Kevin. She earned her undergraduate degree from American University in Political Science, and a Master of Science from the University of Edinburgh in History, Theory and Display of Art.
