Will Cruz has nearly two decades of experience in fundraising and has evolved as a thought partner for institutions by balancing radical accessibility with proven advancement strategies. He began his career as an annual giving specialist at Rutgers University (NJ), his alma mater. Will then went on to manage annual giving, planned giving, and individual gift programs at Hospital for Special Surgery on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. After a 6-year campaign cycle, Will went on to develop giving strategies at charity: water — raising money and awareness to provide access to clean and safe drinking water around the world. For the past 5 years, he has managed his own consultancy, providing annual giving support to clients in the academic and healthcare sectors.
